Congratulations are in order for the five students whom have been named the 2018 Australian Intercollegiate Meat Judging Team.

The team will be travelling as to America to undergo an extensive four-week tour of the US meat industry in January, where they will represent Australia in meat judging competitions.

Congratulations to the top five students Birdie Lues, Harriet Moss, Lachlan Wood, Jake Bourlet and Emily Webb Ware for earning their place in the team! All students have the amazing opportunity to expand their knowledge of the international meat industry that will further help their studies and careers in the future.

The students have been led by experienced coaches Tim Ryan, Sarah Stewart and Nick van den Berg, where they have been taught all the intricacies of the US meat industry which will help them be able to judge the US competitions effectively

The Australian ICMJ committee has been supported by industry bodies such as Meat & Livestock Australia, AMPC, Teys Australia, Coles and Australian Pork. ICMJ President has thanked all sponsors, sating “Without these partnerships, the program would not be possible.”
