Taking Aussie Meat to the World!

University Meat were privileged to accompany Black Hat Chef, George Hill to the inaugural International Culinary Competition held at the Wandee Culinary Art School in Bangkok, Thailand. Here he judged and presented to over 300 local cookery students and also went on to teach and conduct a Lamb Masterclass on behalf of the Australian Institute of Technical chefs.

The International Culinary Competition was streamed and shown on live National TV and attracted interest from major magazines as well as Australian Trade Ambassadors.

The masterclass was followed with a spectacular dinner prepared by the Royal Family Chef that displayed outstanding quality and cooking expertise. The standard was really quite amazing and everyone just loved our Aussie lamb!

Also present at the event were chefs; Andrew Whisken, Pino Notaro, Werner Kimmeringer, Barbara Porter, and Brienna Rose Balfrage-Young.

Overall, University Meat enjoyed a fantastic event and even had the great opportunity to meet the next generation of international professional chefs. It was an honour to represent Australian Institute of Technical chefs in Thailand and we look forward to more fantastic opportunities to support the hospitality industry in the future.
