University Meat are very proud to announce that we will be sponsoring and supporting the Les Toques Blanches Award of Excellence Competition.

The Award for Excellence is an important competition among apprentice cooks studying Certificate II and Certificate III in Commercial Cookery in Australia. Students are strictly selected to present their skills and abilities to produce a three-course meal within 3.5 hours, which will include four portions of;

  1. A first course from a set recipe (recipe will be provided on the day)
  2. A main course from a mystery box of ingredients;
  3. A dessert course devised by the apprentice cooks (competitor to supply recipe, ingredients and crockery.

University Meat will be providing all competing chefs with the best meat cuts, to ensure their true skills are tested and quality is maintained across the competition.

The awards ceremony is to be held on the 15th of November, at the Sofitel Hotel on Collins, where the winner will receive a Culinary Scholarship valued at $5000.
